Bovey Castle is a family-friendly five-star hotel in Dartmoor National Park offering luxury accommodation for parents with children of all ages. The 275-acre Devon estate is a great big playground for children and adults alike.
Bovey Castle has 60 rooms based in the main hotel, with family rooms available. However, the estate also hides 22 three storey country lodges within its grounds. The self-catered lodges sleep up to eight people and are the perfect base for families who want a private break, but with the luxury of a hotel, restaurants and activities on their doorstep.
Families can take part in a range of on-site activities, including Bovey Rangers, the hotel’s kid’s club, offering an action-packed timetable for 7-14 year-olds that includes survival skills, campfire-building, archery, archery, apple-pressing and golf lessons. For younger children (3-7), the supervised playroom offers games and activities such as painting and storytime. Tired parents in need of relaxation can relax in the Elan Spa, secure in the knowledge that little ones are being entertained and supervised, or play a round on the 18-hole championship golf course. Family friendly dining is on offer in Smith’s Brasserie with a children’s menu available for smaller appetites. A babysitting service can also be arrange for parents who want to treat themselves to a night of romantic dining in The Great Western – Bovey Castle’s exclusive dining restaurant.
